Lindisfarne Skies - Original Painting 42 x 59.4cm

Lindisfarne Skies is an acrylic A2 painting on stretched canvas. This painting is inspired by our latest stunning visit to Holy Island, we walked for miles around Lindisfarne on a bright yet cloudy day. I loved this view looking back on the castle, the tide was out and just one solitary boat was standing proud on the sand with beautiful reflection. I have captured this with both small and large paintbrush strokes, I then finished the painting by adding lots of large movements with my palette knife. I love the effect of a palette knife especially for seascapes as it captures colour and ever changing moments of sea and sky.
