Limestone Pavement 100x120cm Canvas

This is a large canvas oil painting of the Limestone Pavement at Malham Cove in the Yorkshire Dales. I took inspiration for this painting from a photo I had taken up on the pavement just as the winter sun was beginning to set. I have used oil paint to create this large 120x100cm art piece, with its smooth effect for the sky and background whilst building up texture on the rocks in the forefront. I have also encorporated blues, pinks, purples and whites onto the rocks to make the highlights slightly abstract in colour.  This will be perfect for a statement piece to stand out in your  home.
